- 200 g unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoonful brownsugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 kg sieved flour with 2 teaspoonful of allspice
- 600 g mixed golden raisins and currants
- 300 g orange peel
- 300 g chopped walnut
- 1 bottle of Guinness(one half can)
Mix the butter and the sugar. Add the eggs, then the flour . Pour in two third of the bottle of beer. Work the dough until it's thick. Mix raisins, currants and orange peel cut into pieces, into the dough.
Butter the mould. Pour the dough. Cook in a medium oven for an hour and a half. Let it cool down before turning it out.
Make holes at the bottom of the cake. Pour the guinness into them. Wrap it up in aluminium foil and leave it in the fridge for a week before serving.
